Job Title: Procurement Planner

Location: Northallerton, onsite

Salary: £28,000 - £34,000 + benefits

As a Procurement Planner, you will be the critical link between production, suppliers, and planning teams. Using your experience in procurement and supply chain, you will manage the flow of materials, maintain SAP data integrity, and proactively respond to supplier or production challenges in a fast-moving FMCG environment.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Translate production plans and MRP outputs into accurate procurement schedules.
  • Raise and manage purchase orders, ensuring on-time delivery and quality compliance.
  • Liaise with suppliers to confirm pricing, resolve delivery discrepancies and handle invoice queries.
  • Track and expedite orders and proactively resolve supply chain issues.
  • Maintain SAP records to reflect current and accurate purchase order data.
  • Monitor supplier performance and contribute to supplier reviews and improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure optimal material inventory levels while avoiding obsolescence and overstock.
  • Analyse trends and forecasts to align with customer demand and reduce waste.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Planning, Customer Accounts, NPD, and Technical Projects.
  • Attend regular planning and production meetings to support business operations.

Experience & Requirements

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and SAP (Accellos experience is a plus)
  • Able to juggle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication, reporting, and presentation skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Team player with experience in cross-functional and international teams
