Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Darlington seeks a Procurement Placement Student for a 12-month placement starting Summer 2027. You will support Sourcing & Continuity teams, assist with PO management, and contribute to cost reduction, capacity planning, and risk mitigation.

Data analysis and cross-functional engagement will be part of the role. The placement is open to students eligible for a placement year with a proactive mindset and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Working towards a degree – Supply chain/Engineering/Business/Finance related
• Positive attitude, strong personal motivation
• Communication and teamwork skills
• IT/Microsoft skills or program knowledge

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated support to one or more Sourcing & Continuity teams
• Assist on Purchase Order management, cost reduction, capacity planning, quality performance and risk mitigation
• Undertake specific project work supporting functional objectives
• Collaborate with other Business Units regionally to share processes, tools and resources
• Perform data analysis to support Purchasing KPIs and project requirements
• Engage with Supplier Quality, Material Planning, Finance and Engineering
