Job summary

Cummins is seeking an enthusiastic Specialized Purchasing EMEA Placement Student for the Corporate/CBS segment in the UK (Peterborough or Darlington). This placement year starts Summer 2027 and is open to candidates who qualify for a placement year.

You will learn how a major global organization operates, gain exposure, and contribute to PO management, cost reduction, capacity planning, quality performance and risk mitigation, plus data analysis to support KPIs.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Engineering or Business related field.
• Strong IT skills and computer literacy.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Attention to detail is essential for accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated support to one or more sourcing teams.
• Assist on PO management, cost reduction, capacity planning, quality performance and risk mitigation.
• Contribute to project work supporting functional objectives.
• Engage with other functions to share processes, tools and resources.
• Perform data analysis to support Purchasing KPIs.
