Job summary

James Andrews Recruitment Solutions Ltd, on behalf of our client based in Wolverhampton, is recruiting a Procurement Business Partner on a 12-month temporary contract. The position is full-time and starts as soon as possible.

Salary is £450 per day inside IR35, with travel to the office 2–3 days per week. Ideal candidates will hold CIPS Level 4, have Local Authority procurement experience and be familiar with PA23 requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in Local Authority procurement
• Knowledge of PA23 procurement rules
• CIPS Level 4 qualification

Responsibilities

• Providing professional procurement advice and support to Corporate Services departments, ensuring compliance with procurement legislation, council policies, and financial regulations
• Partnering with budget holders and service leads to develop effective procurement and sourcing strategies that deliver value for money
• Leading and supporting procurement exercises, including market engagement, tendering, evaluation, negotiation, and contract award
• Managing and developing supplier and contract relationships, monitoring performance, risks, savings, and service outcomes
• Identifying opportunities for cost savings, efficiencies, sustainable procurement, and continuous improvement
