Job summary

Peopleforce Recruitment Ltd in Witney is seeking an experienced Purchasing Operations Lead on a 12-month contract to support procurement operations, systems, reporting and governance within a pharmaceutical environment.

You will lead daily purchasing, ensure governance, manage systems and data, analyse spend, and collaborate with Finance, Legal and other stakeholders to drive improvements. This role offers an opportunity to own procurement processes and make a real impact across the business.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain or business administration.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with business systems, data and reporting.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of procurement governance, supplier management and contract administration.
• Experience coordinating teams, projects or operational activities.
• Ideally, experience working within a corporate or regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee day-to-day purchasing and procurement operations.
• Ensure processes meet company policies, controls and governance requirements.
• Manage procurement systems, supplier data and reporting.
• Analyse spend, supplier and savings information to identify opportunities.
• Support contract administration, approvals and commercial documentation.
• Build strong relationships across Procurement, Finance, Legal and the wider business.
• Identify and deliver improvements to procurement processes and systems.
• Provide guidance, training and support to stakeholders.
