The role involves overseeing the tender process, ensuring compliance with regulations, and enhancing cost efficiencies. To assist in the delivery & management of the Trust's Procurement Strategy. Ensuring the Trust's contract portfolio is maintained. Provide an effective and professional service for procurement projects, delivering ongoing cost efficiencies & benefits to the Trust. Achieve value for money in all procurement activities, ensuring compliance with all statutory legislation, Trust Standing Orders & Standing Financial Instructions and Departmental policies & procedures.
The Procurement & Supplies Dept. are looking to appoint a Procurement Officer to join their procurement team based at University Hospitals, Coventry. The successful applicant will have pervious experience of working in a Procurement team. Ideally applicants will have some knowledge of public sector procurement regulations and experience in administering Public Contract Regulations 2015 / Procurement Act 2023 tenders. Ideally you will be educated to degree level, qualified or studying towards CIPS level 4 and possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
