Job description

VANRATH is pleased to assist our client, a major multi-million pound company, in recruiting a Procurement Officer to join their team based in Crumlin.

This is a temporary contract to cover a period of sickness, expected to last at least 4 weeks.

Salary: £32,000 per year (£16.63 per hour).

Responsibilities:
  • Review, categorize, prioritize, and action all Purchase Requisitions received from user departments.
  • Manage purchase orders from placement to delivery.
  • Source and price goods and services as required.
  • Handle enquiries from prospective suppliers.
  • Assist in tendering processes.
  • Manage procurement document systems, ensuring regular review and updates, and highlight areas of concern or action points.
  • Manage and review contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and report breaches accordingly.
  • Oversee the efficient operation of Stores.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above.
  • Minimum of 2 years' relevant procurement experience.
  • Experience with MRP/ERP platforms.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Understanding of contracting processes and contract management experience.
  • Ability to pass security checks.
  • CIPS qualification or equivalent, or actively working towards it.
  • Knowledge of electronic tendering and contract management systems.
