Procurement Officer - The Role:

The Procurement Officer will play a pivotal role in transforming our Procurement function from its initial greenfield state into a strategic, compliant, and controlled operation. This position offers significant development opportunities for a self-starter who can progressively take ownership of key procurement activities and grow into a strong procurement professional, helping the business achieve its commercial objectives and regulatory obligations.

Procurement Officer Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist the implementation and maintenance of robust procurement controls and processes
2. Ensure regulatory compliance across all procurement activities with oversight of DORA and Outsourcing processes
3. Manage supplier relationships, including contract negotiations and performance reviews
4. Conduct spend analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities
5. Develop and maintain procurement documentation, guidelines, and policies
6. Assist competitive procurement processes and supplier selection activities
7. Oversee the renewals and optimisation of our corporate insurance policies
8. Progressively take ownership of procurement projects from the Head of Procurement and become independent

Procurement Officer - You:

1. Procurement experience, preferably in financial services or the payments industry
2. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with team members
3. Strong negotiation skills and ability to handle challenging supplier conversations
4. Self-motivated with proven ability to manage own workload effectively
5. Analytical mindset with attention to detail
6. Comprehension of procurement best practices and regulatory requirements
7. Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships at all levels
8. Proficient in data analysis and reporting techniques
