Job summary

Goodman Masson is recruiting on behalf of an established not-for-profit organisation for a Procurement Officer. The role involves leading end-to-end procurement across repairs, asset management, IT and professional services and taking ownership of how procurement is delivered across the organisation.

The position is hybrid (1 day per week in the office) with East London location and 27 days of annual leave plus public/bank holidays.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading end-to-end procurement processes.
  • Experience developing and improving procurement processes and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of the Procurement Act 2023 and PCR 2015.
  • Experience advising and challenging stakeholders on procurement, compliance and value for money.
  • Experience within social housing, public sector or not-for-profit organisations would be advantageous.
  • CIPS Level 4/5+ or MCIPS or equivalent experience would be desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end procurement and contracting processes, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and internal governance.
  • Provide expert procurement advice to stakeholders and promote best practice.
  • Develop procurement documentation and support the publication of required notices via the Central Digital Platform.
  • Manage procurement pipelines, timetables and forward plans.
  • Identify and manage procurement and commercial risks.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and the contracts register.
  • Challenge specifications and identify opportunities to improve value for money.
  • Work closely with contract managers, commissioning leads and suppliers.

Key responsibilities
