Your new role

As a Procurement Officer, you will be instrumental in sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. Your role will be pivotal in supporting the needs of the business through strategic procurement activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimise sourcing and supplier selection.
• Conduct supplier evaluations, negotiate terms, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Liaise with various departments to align procurement with business needs.
• Manage supplier relationships and performance, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
• Analyse costs, monitor supplier performance data, and oversee inventory levels.
• Handle Brexit customs paperwork and ensure adherence to purchasing policies.
• Stay informed on market trends and regulatory requirements to guide procurement decisions.

What you'll need to succeed

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in procurement or a supply chain role.
• Proficient in negotiation, contract management, and procurement software.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility and willingness to adapt to business needs.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities.
