Job summary

The Caraires Consultancy is seeking a Procurement Negotiator for a permanent role in Binley Woods, with hybrid working. The position focuses on leading strategic sourcing, supplier management, and commercial negotiations for MRO goods, diesel and packaging across local and regional operations.

You will work with Operations, Finance, Legal, Health & Safety, ESG and other stakeholders to drive end-to-end sourcing activities, supplier performance, budgeting, and regional procurement initiatives,

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, category management or related commercial/technical roles.
• Fluent English required; additional European languages are advantageous.
• Strong negotiation, contract management, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end sourcing activities including market analysis, supplier selection, tendering and contract negotiation.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost, service and risk across local and regional operations.
• Manage supplier performance, contract implementations and ongoing governance, aligning with budgets and plans.
• Support annual budgeting, procurement planning and deployment of regional/global initiatives.
• Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Legal, Health & Safety, ESG and other stakeholders to balance business needs and value creation.
• Identify value-creation opportunities and build strong supplier partnerships across multiple countries and functions.

The Procurement Negotiator is responsible for leading strategic sourcing, supplier management, and commercial negotiations for MRO goods and services, diesel, and packaging categories across local and regional operations. The role develops and executes procurement strategies that deliver sustainable value through cost optimization, supply security, service excellence, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement.

Working closely with Operations, Finance, Legal, Health & Safety, ESG, and other business stakeholders, the Procurement Negotiator manages end-to-end sourcing activities, including market analysis, supplier selection, tendering, contract negotiation, implementation, and supplier performance management. The role also supports annual budgeting, procurement planning, and the deployment of regional and global procurement initiatives.

The position requires strong commercial acumen, analytical capability, and stakeholder management skills to balance business requirements with total cost of ownership, operational continuity, sustainability objectives, and procurement governance standards. The successful candidate will proactively identify value-creation opportunities, build effective supplier partnerships, and contribute to the achievement of procurement and business objectives across multiple countries and functions.

Key requirements:

• Degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, category management, operations, or a related commercial or technical role.
• Proven negotiation and contract management experience with a demonstrated ability to deliver measurable business value.
• Strong analytical skills and experience working with SAP and procurement systems.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Fluent English required; additional European languages are considered an advantage.
