Procurement Manager - Nuclear New Build

This opportunity will be part of our consultancy procurement and supply chain business, spanning five global hubs, supporting world‑leading organisations across the public and private sectors. The team delivers procurement advice, category management and supply chain solutions with a focus on responsible/ethical procurement practices and service excellence.

This opportunity will initially support a major infrastructure project in Suffolk and will require weekly visits to the project offices on site. The role offers exposure to UK infrastructure projects and development of your procurement skills within Mace.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting in the management and delivery of end-to-end procurement exercises including:
    • Prequalifying management via standard selection questionnaire process
    • Drafting tender documents
    • Tendering issuance and management (via approved online portals such as precontract)
    • Assisting in the management of the evaluation process
    • Assisting in the development of procurement strategies if requested
    • Client advisory services on procurement and supply chain process and policy
    • Providing support and coordination relative to the reporting requirements of the project including various briefing notes as necessary
Qualifications and experience
  • You have full membership or are studying for the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) designation.
  • You have a good understanding of public procurement regulations (PCR 2015) and practices including the EU directives.
  • You have experience with OJEU/the latest Find a Tender process.
  • You have good presentational skills and can present complex data succinctly. You have experience in the prequalification and tender management process and evaluation.
  • You are willing to learn and apply yourself to a process‑orientated procurement delivery plan.
