Excellent Package:

£50,000 – £55,000 + 20% Bonus + CIPS Sponsorship + 28 Days Leave + Travel Subsidy + Healthcare

Join one of the most significant and high-impact procurement teams in the UK, supporting the delivery of critical infrastructure. This is a rare opportunity for a public sector procurement professional to join a world-class team at the heart of one of the UK’s largest and most strategic commercial functions.

As a Procurement Specialist within the Indirects division, you’ll play a vital role in managing high-value tenders across a variety of business-critical indirect categories ranging from Professional Services and FM to IT, HR, and more. You’ll gain access to multi-million-pound procurement projects and be part of a function managing £7bn+ in annual spend, supporting both regional and operations.

This position offers the breadth of category exposure, the rigour of public procurement, and the chance to work with some of the most experienced procurement professionals in the industry all within a well-supported, highly structured procurement function.

Why join?

  • Work at scale: Be part of a 700-strong UK-wide procurement function with a £7bn spend remit
  • Broad category exposure: Rotate across high-impact indirect procurement projects across multiple areas of the business
  • Progressive environment: Join a function investing heavily in digital transformation, supplier relationship management, and procurement capability development
  • Future-ready procurement: Play an active part in adapting procurement practices to align with the Procurement Act 2023
  • Clear development pathway: Access training, mentorship, and structured progression routes, with CIPS sponsorship and professional development strongly encouraged

What they’re looking for:

  • Solid indirect procurement experience in a public sector or regulated environment
  • Proven success managing tendering activity end-to-end, ideally across varied categories
  • Knowledge of PCR 2015 and an understanding of the new Procurement Act 2023
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills — able to work with technical teams, suppliers, and wider business functions
  • Experience managing procurement projects aligned with strategic goals and tight compliance standards

What’s on offer:

  • £50,000 – £55,000 base salary
  • 20% performance-related bonus
  • 28 days holiday + bank holidays
  • CIPS sponsorship and structured development
  • Travel subsidies and discounts
  • Private healthcare
  • Hybrid working – typically 2–3 days in the office

If you’re a public sector procurement professional ready to take the next step — and keen to gain strategic exposure to one of the UK’s largest and most forward-looking procurement functions — this is a career-defining opportunity.
