Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. in the United Kingdom is seeking an Indirect Spend Procurement Manager on a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover. You will lead category strategies, manage a buying team across multiple countries, and drive savings across Europe Field business units.

Collaborate with Category Managers, suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver sustainable supply chain agreements, high performance, and continuous improvement across procurement functions.

• Implementing and delivering against specific category strategies.
• Leading complex supplier negotiations in relation to savings, payment terms and innovations.
• Leading and developing buying team with 5 direct reports across multiple countries.
• Encouraging internal collaboration & synergies with other procurement teams (e.g. Category Management).
• Developing & delivering an ambitious savings plan with activity roadmap, as well as additional added-value opportunities.
• Collaborating with stakeholders and developing strong relationships internally and externally with the supply chain to ensure engagement & compliance.
• Influencing stakeholders to understand, align and deliver against priorities.
• Driving a high performance culture through leading Procurement best practice methodology & processes.
• Creation and delivery of RFXs activities where appropriate using eSourcing platforms to deliver best solution proposals to the business for sourcing decisions.

What will you do

This role is offered on a 12-month fixed-term basis to provide maternity leave cover.

The Indirect Spend Procurement Manager’s role is critical to supporting the effective delivery of projects within the Europe Field business unit s, through implementation of the procurement strategy . Working with Category Managers, buying teams and other internal stakeholders, you will assess and develop the supply base, conduct negotiations, and take ownership of various new initiatives to drive savings and improvements throughout the procurement function . You will deliverand report on key performance metrics at a senior level, driving high performance and continuous improvement.Collaborating with external suppliers & subcontractors to identify partnership opportunities, you wi ll driv e a proactive approach to Procurement leadership, with a focus on delivering long term , sustainable and efficient supply chain agreements .

What we are looking for

Required:

• Experience in people management and/or development, including mentoring, coaching, training, or similar activities.
• Proven track record of delivering transformational business results and achieving savings targets.
• Demonstrated experience managing and influencing internal stakeholders and external suppliers at senior and executive levels.
• Strong experience in procurement best practices, including the use of eProcurement tools and processes.

Preferred

• CIPS qualification or a relevant degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
• Experience leading procurement transformation initiatives within complex or matrixed organisations.
• Advanced knowledge of strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and category management methodologies.
