We have a great opportunity to join us at a very exciting time. If you are passionate about procurement, we are looking for a Fixed Term Procurement Manager. You will support value delivery to the business through effective vendor management, ensuring high-quality service, cost efficiency, and strong vendor relationships. This role involves managing purchase orders (POs), monitoring vendor performance, and collaborating closely with the Senior Manager, IT Procurement Manager, and Senior Buyer.

  • Vendor Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key IT vendors to ensure high-quality service and support. Act as the primary point of contact for vendor-related issues and escalations.
  • Purchase Order Management: Oversee the creation, tracking, and management of POs to ensure timely and accurate processing. Work closely with the procurement team to streamline PO processes and resolve discrepancies.
  • Contract Management: Assist in negotiating and managing vendor contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and standards. Collaborate with the legal team to finalize supplier contracts using company templates.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor vendor performance against agreed service levels and KPIs. Address issues or discrepancies promptly.
  • Cost Management: Identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure procurement activities stay within budget. Collaborate with finance and stakeholders to track and manage budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting. Work with the procurement team to achieve cost reduction targets and maintain financial discipline.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to vendor relationships and procurement activities. Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports on vendor performance, procurement activities, and cost savings. Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the IT Procurement Manager and Senior Buyer to align vendor management strategies with overall procurement goals. Support cross-functional teams in achieving procurement objectives.

  • Degree in a related field (e.g., Supply Chain Management, STEM) is advantageous.
  • CIPS Level 4+ (or working towards) is advantageous.
  • Experience in logistics or retail industry is preferable.
  • Experience developing and executing category plans with management support.
  • Prior supplier and contract management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of tendering principles and best practices.
  • Awareness of contracts and contractual terms from a procurement perspective.
  • Ability to articulate contract terms and conditions to various audiences.
  • Understanding of financial accounting principles related to cash flow, savings, and OPEX/CAPEX.
  • Ability to influence senior leaders and directors to make decisions that are in the best interest of the business.
