Job description

Procurement Heads is delighted to be partnered with a leading construction & utilities organisation, to recruit a Procurement Manager - FM.

This organisation has a large global footprint, with over 100,000 employees across several continents, and operates across multiple sectors.

You will be joining a specific Operating Unit within the Public Sector division, where you will establish working relationships with multiple contracts across a number of sites.

They are looking for a proactive individual who has a proven track record in implementing new supplier contracts and delivering ongoing value and savings.

As Procurement Manager - FM, your key responsibilities will be:

  • Delivering value on an ongoing basis, meeting specific in-year targets whilst proactively looking for new opportunities.
  • Engaging with internal stakeholders to understand the requirement and support in delivering procurement solutions that match these.
  • Managing suppliers who deliver services that are specific to the Business Unit and sourcing new suppliers.
  • Identifying opportunities to deliver value by alignment with our Category approach and manage the successful delivery and transparent reporting of deliverables.
  • Delivering procurement and commercial support across the business to drive profit improvement with a strong focus on optimised best business practice, fiscal performance, risk management and compliance.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience of similar multi-stakeholder organisations/roles.
  • Suitable procurement, commercial and or financial / accounting or QS experience within a similar industry sector.
  • Understanding and practical application of base UK law applicable to Commercial / contracts.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to tailor approach based on the audience.
  • Financial acumen with an ability to analyse data and documentation with accuracy.
  • Skilled negotiator with proven experience in a procurement / commercial environment.
  • Able to realise savings as per annual fiscal plan and other value that supports the growth and profitability of the company.

Salary and Benefits of the Procurement Manager - FM role:
