Job summary

Greencore is a leading UK food manufacturer seeking a skilled procurement professional to drive the Material Group Sourcing Strategy. You will lead end-to-end procurement activities, manage cost performance, and work closely with Commercial and Operational teams to ensure quality and service levels across sites.

The role requires degree-level qualification, strong negotiation and procurement experience, and knowledge of dairy and egg categories.

Qualifications

• Degree calibre or equivalent required.
• Detailed knowledge of procurement processes and systems expected.
• Strong negotiation experience essential.
• Knowledge of Dairy and Egg procurement advantageous.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Understanding of food manufacturing and supplier collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and implement Material Group Sourcing Strategy.
• Lead procurement activity for the material group, manage total cost, PV, forecasting, rebates and input costs.
• Engage with Commercial teams for market updates and inflation recovery discussions.
• Collaborate with Operational teams to ensure quality and inbound service levels, and build relationships with site leadership.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Contribute to the formulation and implementation of Material Group Sourcing Strategy to ensure that business strategies and performance targets are achieved and ensure cross functional alignment with the plan
• Lead on all procurement activity for the material group to ensure that the total cost of the portfolio is managed efficiently and effectively, with rigorous attention to detail on PV , financial forecasting, rebates, cash management, Greencore Purchasing Excellence delivery, material availability and input cost inflation
• Stakeholder engagement with Commercial teams, including regular market updates and commentary, and support of inflation recovery in the area of expertise, including direct dialogue with customer where necessary
• Stakeholder engagement with Operational teams, including Technical and Sustainability, to ensure correct levels of Quality and Inbound Service levels are achieved, as well as developing good working relationships with the site General Manager and Supply Chain teams, ensuring a good understanding of how key sites operate

• Good understanding of food manufacturing, processes, and working with suppliers
