Job Description:

A prominent consumer goods company is launching a significant capital transformation programme and seeks a Procurement Manager to lead this initiative.

This is a strategic role responsible for all Capex procurement activities across multiple UK manufacturing sites. You will manage sourcing strategies for complex, high-value projects, including specialised equipment, civil works, and support services. The role offers visibility and autonomy, working closely with stakeholders from operational teams to senior leadership to enhance procurement capabilities and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead sourcing and procurement for capital projects: machinery, engineering services, civil works
  • Manage end-to-end project delivery across UK sites
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with capital investment goals
  • Support procurement governance, controls, and efficiency improvements
  • Create tools, frameworks, and supplier strategies to optimise spend
  • Build relationships across engineering, operations, finance, and leadership
  • Promote cross-functional collaboration and influence decision-making
Key Requirements:
  • Extensive capital procurement experience in FMCG, food, drink, or pharma
  • Proven track record in sourcing equipment, civil works, and technical services (CAPEX)
  • Experience with MRO procurement is a plus
  • Ability to operate independently and manage change
  • Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills
  • Organised, self-motivated, confident across multiple workstreams
  • Aspiring to grow into a procurement leadership role
