Procurement Manager

3-4 months contract (day rate inside IR35)

Location - London or Reigate

This award-winning specialist UK Financial Services Company is seeking a Procurement Manager for a short-term interim contract.

Working on projects that require outsourcing and third-party delivery across various supply commodities including external consulting, finance systems, marketing, IT, and HR.

You will be responsible for delivering business partnering and commercial support for complex sourcing requirements, involving end-to-end procurement processes and running sourcing events. You should develop a deep understanding of business needs and build credible relationships with senior stakeholders.

Key Activities

1. Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders to understand business needs, identify cost-saving opportunities, manage demand effectively, and address third-party risk management (TPRM).
2. Lead and manage end-to-end strategic and tactical sourcing projects across multiple categories, choosing appropriate sourcing methods, following formal processes, and coordinating with the business and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM).
3. Proactively identify new sourcing initiatives through strong relationships with business leads and the change team.
4. Negotiate commercial and contractual terms with third parties.
5. Assist budget holders in optimizing their budgets to meet business requirements at the best value with minimized risks.
6. Identify and deliver cost-saving and cost-avoidance initiatives to meet budget targets, producing management information (MI) as needed.

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications

1. Experience in strategic sourcing across multiple categories, especially with enterprise-scale third-party providers and outsourcers.
2. Knowledge of developing and deploying sourcing strategies, financial concepts, and contribution to business cases.
3. Background in Financial Services and familiarity with regulatory guidelines for third-party management (PRA, FCA) is advantageous.
4. Experience with S2P or P2P systems is helpful.
5. Experience with complex transformation projects, including outsourcing and offshoring.
