Job description

NRL are currently working with a client looking for a Procurement Manager on a Permanent basis in Wallsend.

Experienced Procurement Manager will support group wide procurement activities, providing bid support, and ensuring best practices across procurement and supply chain functions.
Accountable for all procurement activity, supplier engagement, and procurement strategies within the Group.

What You'll Be Doing:
  1. Supporting internal and external stakeholders with procurement of subcontract services, plant, equipment and materials across the Group to optimize economies of scale and increase efficiencies and company profits accordingly.
  2. Understanding the niche needs of the business and identifying the most suitable suppliers for those needs.
  3. Working closely with operations teams to manage bid, purchasing, and supplier requirements.
  4. Developing, delivering and maintaining a Group wide purchasing strategy with key performance indicators.
  5. Managing contractual risk and ensuring supply chains are robust.
  6. Ensuring supplier arrangements are cost effective and monitoring costs.
  7. Supporting wider category management and business sourcing activities.

Full-time office-based role in Wallsend with travel to Teesside and potentially overseas.
