Job description

Are you a skilled procurement professional ready to lead with values?

If so, Moxie People is working with a values-led housing and community organisation in Blaenau Gwent to find their next Procurement Manager.

We're looking to speak to people who want more from their 9-5. More meaning, more impact, more community. This isn't just another job - it's a chance to lead procurement in a way that supports people, purpose, and planet.

You'll lead procurement activity that doesn't just tick boxes but drives real social value, supports local communities, and ensures public money is spent wisely, responsibly, and sustainably.

Whether you're an experienced Procurement Manager or a Senior Procurement Officer ready for your next step, this could be your chance to lead with purpose.

The important bits

Position: Procurement Manager

Location: Blaenau Gwent (Hybrid - office presence just once a week)

Salary: £44,000 per year

Hours: 37 hours per week (Most people work 8-4 or 9-5, but it's flexible)

Contract Type: Permanent

Deadline to Apply: Sunday 28th April

Why you'll love this role

  • You'll build relationships, not just processes, with colleagues, suppliers, and community partners.
  • You'll shape procurement that creates long-term social and environmental impact.
  • You'll lead and develop a small, talented procurement team.
  • You'll have the space and support to challenge old ways of working and bring fresh ideas.
  • You'll report directly to the Head of Corporate Services and play a key role in strategic decision-making.

We'd love to hear from people who have:

  • Level 6 CIPS qualification (or studying towards it).
  • Strong end-to-end procurement experience - especially tendering and contract management.
  • A values-led, customer-focused approach to your work.
  • Good understanding of procurement regulations (bonus points if you know Welsh frameworks!).
  • An eye for value for money, risk, and innovation.
  • Confidence in using data, leading projects and influencing others.

What you'll get in return

  • Flexitime and hybrid working (work when and where you're at your best).
  • 25 days holiday + 2 extra days off at Christmas + all bank holidays.
  • Up to 9% employer pension contribution.
  • Enhanced sick pay and wellbeing support.
  • Cycle to Work scheme, retail perks and ongoing learning opportunities.
  • Free on-site parking.

About this Housing Association

You'll be joining a modern, ambitious, and grounded organisation that's deeply connected to the communities it serves. The culture is open, supportive, and inclusive, where people genuinely care about the work they do and each other.

It's not just about procurement - it's about using your skills to make a difference.

If this Procurement Manager opportunity sounds right for you, we'd love to hear from you. Apply before Sunday 28th April or reach out to Rich Thomas for a chat if you want to know more.
