Procurement Manager

Location: Stevenage

Salary: Up to £48,000 depending on experience

Are you looking for more than just another procurement role?

This opportunity offers the chance to step into a highly visible and impactful position where you'll play a key role in managing complex supplier relationships and shaping procurement strategy on major international projects.

You'll gain exposure to advanced technology programmes, global supply chains, and work with cross-functional teams, all while being supported in a flexible, people-first working environment.

What's in it for you?

  1. Bonus potential - based on overall company performance
  2. Outstanding pension scheme - up to 14% total contribution
  3. Flexible leave options - including the ability to take up to 15 additional days off
  4. Hybrid working - typically 2-3 days per week onsite
  5. Paid overtime available

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to strike the right balance between professional achievement and personal life, with the infrastructure in place to support both.

The Procurement Manager role

You'll be managing the full lifecycle of high-value subcontracts, from initial supplier engagement and tendering through to negotiation, implementation, and performance monitoring. You'll work closely with key stakeholders across engineering, commercial and project teams, and build collaborative relationships with suppliers across the UK and internationally.

Whether you're refining contract terms, managing risk, or identifying opportunities for improvement, your work will directly contribute to the delivery of complex, high-impact systems.

What you'll be doing day to day:

  1. Leading the preparation, negotiation, and execution of supplier subcontracts
  2. Running competitive tendering activities
  3. Managing supplier performance and delivery to contractual obligations
  4. Maintaining contract compliance and updates in line with current standards
  5. Building strong supplier relationships to support long-term success
  6. Supporting new business bids with commercial input from the supply chain

What you'll bring

This Procurement Manager role would suit someone who enjoys managing relationships, negotiating terms, and contributing to the bigger picture. You might already be in a procurement or commercial role and looking to take on more responsibility in a dynamic, complex environment.

We're looking for:

  1. Procurement, commercial or subcontract management experience
  2. Strong communication and negotiation skills
  3. A collaborative mindset and confidence working with senior stakeholders
  4. Willingness to travel domestically and occasionally overseas

A future-facing career

This is more than just a procurement position, it's a role that offers scope for growth, meaningful contribution, and the chance to work on some of the most ambitious projects in the sector.

Whether you're looking to step up, broaden your experience, or find a role that better fits your lifestyle, this could be the right next move.
