Qualifications

• Experience as a Procurement Manager, Senior Buyer or Supply Chain Manager in construction, civil engineering or infrastructure sectors.
• Strong ability to procure subcontract packages and construction materials.
• Excellent negotiation, supplier management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience supporting tender and live project delivery.
• Commercial awareness with ability to identify value engineering opportunities.
• Strong analytical, planning and organisational skills.

Procurement Manager

Location: Peterborough (Hybrid Working)

Salary: Up to £85,000 + Comprehensive Package

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Procurement Manager to join a leading Tier 1 civil engineering contractor delivering major infrastructure projects across the UK.

Based in Peterborough, you'll play a key role in developing procurement strategies, managing strategic supplier relationships and supporting the successful delivery of complex civil engineering and infrastructure schemes.

Working closely with commercial, operational and pre-construction teams, you'll ensure projects are supported by a high-performing supply chain, delivering best value while maintaining quality, programme and commercial objectives.

This role would suit an experienced Procurement Manager, Senior Buyer or Supply Chain Manager looking to join a well-established contractor that offers long-term career progression, a collaborative culture and the opportunity to work on nationally significant infrastructure projects.

The Role

About You

• Experience as a Procurement Manager, Senior Buyer or Supply Chain Manager within the construction, civil engineering or infrastructure sectors.
• Strong experience procuring subcontract packages and construction materials.
• Excellent negotiation, supplier management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience supporting both tender and live project delivery.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify value engineering opportunities.
• Excellent analytical, planning and organisational skills.
• Previous experience within the water or utilities sector would be highly desirable, although candidates from the wider civil engineering and infrastructure sectors are encouraged to apply.
