Job Description:

The chosen Senior Procurement Consultant will have the opportunity to work with an accomplished team comprising specialist procurement personnel, consultants, and a wider team providing claims management, dispute resolution, and contract strategy services.

As a Procurement Manager, you will work with market-leading clients to provide comprehensive procurement services from start to finish, with opportunities to travel nationally and internationally to organize commissions.

Flexible remote working is supported, with the understanding that there will be regular weekly visits to the office for meetings and specific tasks.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Perform the obligations of a Procurement Manager and Contracts Consultant.
  • Manage procurement services on large construction-related projects from initiation to completion.
  • Provide specialist procurement strategy advice to private and public sector clients.
  • Support the growth of procurement services offered.
  • Assist with marketing and business development of the division.
  • Support bid preparation, proposal documentation, and enhance the work-winning capability of the contract services division.
  • Contribute to the execution of team and business targets.
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Extensive experience across the full procurement lifecycle, including tender preparation and strategy development.
  • Experience with various contract types, especially NEC and JCT.
  • Contract development, drafting, negotiation, and award experience.
  • Knowledge of Public and Utilities Contract Regulations procurement.
  • Supply chain intelligence and supplier relationship management skills.
  • Experience using e-procurement software.
  • Experience working on projects valued over £50m is preferred.
  • Good communication skills, adaptability, and a drive to succeed.
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
  • BSc in Quantity Surveying, Law, Procurement, Civil Engineering, or related construction field.
  • Preferably MCIPS qualified.
