Role: Strategic Procurement Manager, EMEA – London

Salary: Competitive, £100,000 – £110,000 (depending on experience), plus standard employee benefits including pension and holidays

Location: London (On-site 4 days per week, 1 day remote)

Duration: 6-month contract, with potential for extension or transition to a permanent role

Start Date: Immediate / September 2025

Known for its innovation and market leadership, the firm is currently strengthening its EMEA procurement operations and is seeking a Strategic Procurement Manager to join its team and play a critical role in advancing sourcing and vendor strategies across the region.

This position is based in London and sits within a high-performing global Procurement function. The successful candidate will focus on sourcing activities within the Professional Services category, working across departments and business lines to drive commercial outcomes and support procurement best practices. The environment is collaborative, data-driven, and fast-paced — ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic global setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic procurement expertise and commercial support to stakeholders across EMEA
  • Build and manage relationships with internal stakeholders and key suppliers
  • Lead negotiations and ensure compliance with internal sourcing policies and frameworks
  • Develop and execute category strategies and manage a forward-looking sourcing pipeline
  • Partner with business units to determine requirements and align sourcing initiatives
  • Evaluate proposals and vendor capabilities using financial and market analysis
  • Monitor external market trends and supplier landscapes relevant to the Professional Services category
  • Support compliance efforts, risk assessments, and vendor onboarding procedures
  • Communicate procurement insights, risks, and opportunities to senior stakeholders
  • Influence cross-functional teams with differing priorities toward aligned procurement goals
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives within the Source-to-Pay (S2P) process

Ideal Background:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Strategic Procurement or Sourcing roles, with at least 5 years focused on Professional Services / Financial Services / Technology / Legal or similar industries
  • Degree-qualified or equivalent experience in a business, supply chain, or commercial discipline
  • Strong command of RFP/RFQ/RFI processes and supplier evaluations
  • Expertise in commercial negotiations, contract redlining, and vendor management
  • Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated customer service orientation and ability to resolve procurement issues effectively
  • Strong leadership presence and ability to collaborate across regional and global teams
  • Experience using internal data and external intelligence to inform sourcing strategies
  • Comfortable with procurement platforms and able to learn new tools as needed
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with complex stakeholder needs

Preferred Qualifications & Tools:

  • Background in high-performance, regulated, or data-driven industries
  • Track record of applying procurement best practices across international markets
  • Familiarity with international trade terms and regulatory contracting
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP), Microsoft Office, and procurement analytics
  • Professional certifications (CIPS, CPP, CPM) are highly regarded
