Job Description
Objectives of this role:
· Guarantee that the company is getting the best value for money while procuring goods and services from vendors and distributors
· Negotiate contracts and deals with sellers to promote maximum cost-savings in the sourcing and supply chain management system
· Devise and execute procurement strategies that benefit the business in the best way
· Adhere to applicable legal frameworks and regulations while striking deals with distributors and vendor
Key responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing:
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities.
- Develop category management strategies for key spend areas, including cost reduction initiatives.
- Lead supplier selection process through RFPs, negotiations, and contract management.
- Analyse spend data to identify opportunities for cost optimization and value improvement.
Supplier Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring ongoing performance and alignment with business goals.
- Collaborate with suppliers on innovation, quality improvement, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Monitor supplier performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) and address any issues promptly.
Procurement Strategy Development:
- Define and implement a long-term procurement strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Develop procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with sourcing and supplier relationships.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal stakeholders across different departments to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
- Communicate procurement strategy and goals to key decision-makers.
- Collaborate with supply chain teams to optimize inventory management and delivery timelines.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyse procurement data to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings.
- Generate reports on procurement performance, including cost savings achieved and supplier compliance.
- Utilize data analytics tools to inform decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and reporting
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills

- Deep understanding of market dynamics and supplier landscape
