Job summary

Essential Employment is seeking a Procurement Consultant to lead complex public sector procurement projects from strategy development through to contract award.

The role requires strong knowledge of the Procurement Act 2023 and a proven track record managing high-value procurements (£200k to £10m). Experience in Adult Social Care, Public Health, Health & Wellbeing, or related services is preferred.

• Light Touch Regime (LTR) procurement experience

Responsibilities

• Deliver complex public sector procurement projects from strategy development through to contract award.
• Apply Procurement Act 2023 in practice across projects.
• Proven track record managing high-value procurement exercises and contract awards (£200k–£10m).
• Experience procuring Adult Social Care, Public Health, Health & Wellbeing, Supported Living, or similar services.
• Ideally experience conducting Light Touch Regime (LTR) procurements.
• Manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously and deliver within challenging timescales.
• Develop procurement strategies, sourcing approaches, tender documentation, evaluation methodologies, and procurement plans.

• Strong working knowledge and practical application of the Procurement Act 2023.
• Proven track record of managing high-value procurement exercises and contract awards, including projects valued from £200k to £10m.
• Experience procuring Adult Social Care, Public Health, Health & Wellbeing, Supported Living, Assessment Services, or other commissioned services.
• Ideally experience conducting Light Touch Regime (LTR) procurements.
• Ability to manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously and deliver within challenging timescales.
• Experience developing procurement strategies, sourcing approaches, tender documentation, evaluation methodologies, and procurement plans.
