We're seeking a Procurement Manager to lead and bring strategic insight to our procurement team, focusing on Uniforms and related items. In this role, you'll drive transformational change, align with strategic goals, and develop a customer-focused procurement team.

You will be responsible for shaping category strategies, delivering value for money, and fostering continuous improvement in our sourcing methodologies.

Role Responsibilities

• Spearhead procurement strategy for high-value annual contracts, ensuring compliance and sourcing excellence.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies, keeping abreast of market conditions and communicating implications to stakeholders.
• Promote innovation and identify opportunities to supply cost-effective, innovative products, especially for policing needs.
• Own contract negotiations, ensuring full compliance with contractual terms before implementation.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, understanding their capabilities and opportunities.
• Lead procurement, design, and technical teams to ensure products meet PPE regulations.
• Foster strong customer relationships with a focus on service excellence.
• Lead a team, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement.
• Expand the uniform provider base, increasing supplier options.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven leadership in procurement, especially in complex environments.
• Experience with garments, textiles, PPE, or related fields is preferred.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills for customer-facing roles.
• Experience in public sector procurement is advantageous.
• CIPS qualification is required; MCIPS is preferred.
