Procurement Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to support the Head of Procurement by overseeing the College's procurement activities. The role focuses on ensuring efficiency, responsiveness, and compliance with governance, value for money, and legislative standards, aligned with the College's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with the Head of Procurement to review and develop the College's procurement systems and strategies.
2. Ensure all procurement activities comply with legislative requirements, financial regulations, and delegated authorities.
3. Maintain and utilize the spend dashboard to inform management decisions and formalize procurement processes.
4. Work with category and curriculum leads to develop strategic procurement pipelines.
5. Maintain governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance, mitigating associated risks.
6. Stay informed about legislative changes and assess their impact.
7. Provide training and support to managers and staff on procurement processes.

Candidate Profile

• Excellent communication and written skills.
• CIPS qualification or equivalent experience in a similar role.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience working collaboratively within a team.
• Understanding of and commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Safeguarding practices.
