Oliver Smith Recruitment are working with a renowned FMCG organisation with an impressive portfolio of category-leading brands, is seeking to recruit a Procurement Manager to take ownership of their IT, Finance & Legal categories.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our client's procurement team, where you will have the chance to shape and influence buying activities across a wide range of stakeholders. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving key projects forward, enabling you to make a significant impact on their organisation.

Key Duties will include:
  • Lead Sourcing Activities: Oversee end-to-end sourcing across a diverse range of categories
  • Develop Procurement Strategies: Innovate, develop, and implement cutting-edge procurement strategies to maximize business value.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong framework relationships with suppliers, collaborating with different category management teams.
  • Management of internal processes to ensure audit compliance
  • Team Development - creating plans and developing individuals
  • Supplier Onboarding: Conduct supplier qualification checks and ensure smooth onboarding of clients in accordance with organizational procedures.
  • Manage ESG Strategy: Oversee the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy to align with company values and goals.
  • Maintaining a positive stock position on all current lines
  • Reviewing the performance of suppliers and the procurement process
  • Act as a representative of the organisation in client meetings, fostering positive relationships and communication.
  • Implementation and development of new systems
  • New Product developments - work closed with the Marking and Sales departments to assist in the development of the food categories
  • Cost Management - actively looking for ways to bring down product and services costs at all opportunities
  • Fleet Management - Tenders, fuel cards, etc.
