Role Overview
The Procurement Manager’s role is to negotiate and procure sub-contractors and maintain good subcontractor relationships. They manage and monitor the procurement processes across Lawtech and work closely with Commercial and Site teams.
Founded over 20 years, Lawtech have become a leading principal contractor specialising in cladding remediation. We deliver high-quality, compliant, multi-million-pound cladding repatriations & regeneration contracts throughout London and the wider Southeast.
Role Responsibilities
- Manage, monitor, coach and appraise the Procurement Team and ensure that they are aware of correct processes and procedures.
- Creation, management, and monitoring of procurement processes for all sites
- Development and Maintenance of supply chain database and expanding the supply chain.
- Building strong working relationships with potential Sub-Contractors.
- Manage tasks in good time exceeding the agreed procurement schedule and budget.
- Negotiation and placement of timely sub-contractor orders
- Agreement of terms with subcontractors
- Maintenance of preferred supplier lists and current pricing information.
- Maintenance of current information on Lawtech’ s systems including Probe and relevant accounts system
- Working with Sub-Contractors to ensure that key processes are running efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Regular communication with supply chain including a 2-way feedback process.
- Standardisation of ordering and requisition procedures across sites around UK as appropriate
- Set up, maintenance and training of Lawtech staff to ensure procurement and ordering processes across the business are effective and efficient.
- Provide analytical reports including monthly board report.
- Liaison when required and necessary with our PQQ/Tender processes
- Management and review of action lists
- Attending, interdepartmental meetings to improve communication, systems and process.
Skills And Qualifications
- At least 3 years’ experience in a Procurement Manager role.
- Experience working alongside sub contractors is essential.
- Construction Management experience
- Microsoft competent (Excel, Office etc)
- Negotiation skills
- Good verbal and written communication
- Ability to work under pressure and work to deadlines.
