An exciting opportunity for a Procurement Manager to join a leading innovation-focused organisation based in the Didcot, Oxfordshire. This 13-month FTC, offering a salary of up to £55,000, with a focus on delivering compliant, value-driven procurement processes in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

The Procurement Manager will report to the Head of Commercial Services to ensure procurement activities align with the Procurement Act 2023, supporting the organisation's strategic objectives.

Role responsibilities of the Procurement Manager include:

  • Managing end-to-end procurement processes in accordance with procurement policies and legislation, including the Procurement Act 2023
  • Drafting and developing procurement documentation, specifications, and evaluation criteria, ensuring clarity and purpose
  • Leading route-to-market strategies and providing expert advice on tender opportunities
  • Drafting contracts, change notes, and managing contract renewals and expiries, ensuring compliance and appropriate risk mitigation
  • Performing due diligence checks on potential suppliers, including credit and risk assessments

Person Specification of the Procurement Manager:

  • Candidates will have strong experience working within public sector procurement frameworks, with a solid understanding of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and the Procurement Act 2023.
  • Experience in drafting tender specifications, evaluating bids, and managing procurement risks is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and familiarity with IT systems such as Microsoft Office and finance systems are required.
