Procurement Manager – Building Materials & Construction

A leading North American building materials company is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead sourcing and procurement strategy across multiple regions. This role is a critical partner to regional operations leadership, responsible for driving cost savings, supplier performance, contract compliance, and procurement best practices across goods and services categories.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead procurement strategy for two regional areas, overseeing $100M+ in spend
  • Partner with Plant Managers, Regional GMs, and Ops Leads to influence and implement procurement best practices
  • Drive sourcing initiatives and cost savings aligned with national and global category strategies
  • Negotiate regional supplier contracts and manage the RFx process for key projects
  • Oversee local compliance, process improvement, and policy training across the assigned footprint
  • Collaborate closely with category managers to ensure alignment with strategic sourcing objectives
  • Track procurement KPIs, report savings, and present results at operational and executive levels

Qualifications:

  • 5–7 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or category management
  • Proven experience in supply chain strategy and procurement operations
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred
  • Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills
  • Willingness to travel 15–25% across regional sites
