Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and strategic Procurement Manager to join our dynamic team in Billericay. In this role, you will develop and execute category strategies, manage supplier relationships, lead sourcing initiatives, and optimize the procurement cycle's end-to-end systems and processes. Key Responsibilities:
  1. Contract Management & Specification Writing: Identifying contract requirements and drafting specifications for existing and new contracts across a small portfolio or specific business areas.
  2. Supplier Coordination & Relationship Management: Coordinating activities with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure successful delivery. Managing relationships while adhering to established contract management plans.
  3. Data Analysis & Reporting: Gathering, analyzing, and presenting data using predefined tools. Organizing complex documents and summarizing findings for reports.
  4. Market Research & Supplier Analysis: Conducting research on cost drivers, market dynamics, and supplier options to inform decision-making.
  5. Cost Evaluation & Profitability Improvement: Assessing costs, identifying variances, and recommending cost savings and process improvements.
  6. Issue Resolution & Stakeholder Support: Handling queries from internal teams, customers, or suppliers, explaining complex processes, and escalating issues when necessary.
  7. Vendor Negotiation & Category Management: Negotiating with vendors for optimal pricing and terms, managing a category of products or services.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, including contract management and negotiations.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in office and procurement software.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
