Job summary

Laing O'Rourke Centre of Excellence for Modern Construction (CEMC) in Nottinghamshire seeks an experienced Procurement Manager to lead procurement strategies for a state-of-the-art offsite manufacturing facility. You will own procurement activities, collaborate with manufacturing, engineering and commercial teams, and drive supplier selection, negotiation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or similar senior role.
• Experience in manufacturing, construction, or engineering environments.
• Strong commercial awareness with supplier negotiations and contract management.

Responsibilities

• Develop procurement strategies aligned with CEMC manufacturing needs.
• Manage procurement activities from market engagement to contract award and supplier management.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, operations and commercial teams to understand demand and plans.
• Identify opportunities to reduce cost and strengthen supply chain resilience.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers and strategic partners.
• Lead commercial negotiations and ensure robust contractual arrangements.
• Monitor supplier performance across cost, quality, delivery, sustainability and service.
• Identify and manage procurement risks to protect manufacturing continuity.
• Utilise market intelligence to identify new suppliers and opportunities for innovation.
• Support supplier development and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with LAing O'Rourke policies and processes.
