Job summary

SF Partners are working with a Newton Abbot-based business seeking a Head of Procurement to join the team. The role will own end-to-end procurement across materials, components and services for a manufacturing/engineering operation.

You will develop procurement strategy, lead supplier negotiations and drive cost improvements, while collaborating closely with engineering and production to meet current and future demand. Office-based, with GBP50,000–GBP55,000 salary.

Qualifications

• Must have a manufacturing/engineering procurement background.
• Experience leading end-to-end procurement in a manufacturing/engineering context.
• Proven ability to negotiate with suppliers and drive cost reductions.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for procurement of materials, components, and services.
• Develop and implement an effective procurement strategy aligned with operations and commercial goals.
• Manage RFQ, supplier selection, POs and delivery to support production schedules.
• Identify opportunities to consolidate spend and improve purchasing leverage.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers and collaborate with Engineering and Production teams.
