Job summary

Elite Search Solutions Limited is seeking an IT Procurement Category Lead to join a dynamic team. Hybrid role based in Leamington Spa, with 2–3 days in the office.

You will work with leading brands to identify and implement innovative procurement solutions across IT and indirect categories, delivering cost savings and value. The successful candidate will manage stakeholders, lead small project teams, and apply agile thinking to category strategies, tenders, negotiations and supplier sourcing

Qualifications

• Strong IT & Technology procurement experience essential; indirect category exp useful.
• Interact with stakeholders to define category management approaches.
• Proven track record in delivering savings in high-spend environments.

Role is hybrid with circa 2-3 days per week in Leamington Spa office

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team of Procurement Management Specialists that deliver auditable and sustainable cost base reduction to clients in a variety of industries. With a wide range of procurement experience across many industries including manufacturing, distribution, retail, hospitality, healthcare, property and the service sector this is a growing business offering a working environment which is hardworking, supportive and fun.

As a IT Procurement Category Lead, you will work on behalf of well-known clients to identify and implement innovative supply chain solutions which reduce costs and add value.

The role will provide you with the opportunity to work with some of the UK's biggest brands across multiple

different industries and categories and give you exposure to a variety of exciting large scale procurement

transformation programmes.

You must have strong IT & Technology procurement experience to be considered for this role. Any previous Indirect category experience would also be useful.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interact with key stakeholders and analyse data to create category management approaches
• Advise and agree with on the procurement strategy for high spend categories
• Deliver measurable savings through hands on category management including undertaking tenders, negotiations and auctions
• Influence stakeholders to secure agreement to proposed solutions
• Use of leading edge tools and processes and creative thinking to design solutions which deliver rapid cost savings and improvements in performance
• Sourcing suppliers from the UK and Worldwide to meet needs
• Deliver projects within agreed timescales

Skills & Experience:

• The ability to manage, motivate and develop small project teams. This individual also needs to be able to identify and nurture less experienced talent, whilst supporting developmental areas of their peers
• A successful track record in managing and influencing senior stakeholders
• Strong track record of savings delivery within a high spend environment
• Keen commercial business sense
• Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
• Good organisational and time-management skills
• Positive and proactive attitude, confident in taking personal initiative
• Good negotiation skills and natural persuasion
• Strong academic (graduate) background and have an agile approach to challenges.
