Job summary

Community Integrated Care is seeking a Procurement Manager to develop and embed procurement policies, governance and supplier management across the charity. You will lead improvements, manage SLAs and KPIs, and provide commercial advice with Legal colleagues, ensuring compliant, value-driven procurement across multiple sites.

You will be based within an hours commute of Widnes, work full time, and enjoy flexible 4-day or 5-day patterns with occasional nationwide travel, contributing to risk

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a procurement leadership or category management role.
• Experience within a large, complex, multi-site organisation.
• Demonstrable success implementing and improving procurement processes and controls.
• Strong knowledge of UK procurement legislation, governance and best practice.
• Experience developing supplier management and procurement frameworks.
• Strong commercial awareness with contract negotiation experience.

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing procurement policies, procedures and governance frameworks.
• Leading continuous improvement initiatives to simplify and strengthen procurement processes.
• Managing supplier due diligence, onboarding and compliance activities.
• Developing and maintaining key supplier and contract databases.
• Supporting contract managers with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Providing commercial advice on supplier contracts in partnership with Legal colleagues.
• Monitoring supplier performance to ensure agreed service, quality and invoicing standards are achieved.
• Conducting procurement audits and compliance reviews.
• Producing insightful reports on supplier spend, value for money, risk, and compliance for senior stakeholders.
• Ensuring compliance with procurement regulations and legislative requirements, including Modern Slavery, Anti-Bribery, Corruption and Fraud legislation.
• Leading and developing a Procurement Specialist, supporting performance, growth and development.
• Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation and influencing positive procurement practices.
