Job summary

Civil Works Alliance invites applications for a Procurement Lead to support the Sizewell C project. You will lead procurement strategy, manage supplier relations, and steer risk-aware negotiations to secure best value while maintaining governance and safety standards.

Based in the UK, you will build a high-performing team, drive sustainable procurement, and engage with SMEs to deliver community-focused outcomes and responsible supplier engagement across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in construction procurement and delivery.
• Strong negotiation and contract law knowledge.
• Ability to deliver procurement strategies under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Proven leadership of operational procurement teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Commitment to ethical, value-driven procurement.

Responsibilities

• Implement contracting strategy and delivery plan with the CWA Procurement Lead.
• Deliver on procurement and supply chain commitments in the Programme Alliance Agreement.
• Collaborate to mitigate market risk, unlock efficiencies, and drive procurement.
• Develop forward-looking supply chain strategies for current and future needs.
• Lead negotiations and manage risk to achieve commercial success.
• Support tendering, market analysis, supplier selection, and risk assessment.
• Foster inclusion and develop a high-performing team.
• Uphold governance and nuclear regulatory standards throughout procurement.
• Build relationships with suppliers, sub-contractors and SME engagement strategies.
• Drive sustainable procurement and maintain focus on health and safety.
