Role: Procurement Lead - Housing Asset Management

Are you ready to take your procurement expertise to the next level? The London Borough of Ealing are seeking a dynamic and skilled Procurement Lead to join their Housing Asset Management team on a temporary contract. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact while working in a supportive environment!

Position Details:

  • Contract Type: Temporary, 3 months
  • Hourly Rate: 27.71 per hour PAYE or 36.84 per hour umbrella
  • Working Pattern: Full Time, Monday to Friday
  • Location: Perceval House
  • Working Arrangements: Hybrid

Purpose of the Role:
As the Procurement Lead, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing effective procurement strategies that ensure cost-effective and efficient acquisition of goods, services, and works needed for the Housing Asset Management department. You will support the Assistant Director and collaborate with the wider team to:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies.
  • Identify and manage relationships with suppliers and contractors, securing the best value and quality.
  • Coordinate contract negotiations and administration to ensure performance monitoring and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the central point of contact for procurement and contract issues.
  • Liaise with the council's Procurement Commercial Hub and Legal Services to ensure adherence to governance requirements.
  • Create and manage project teams, facilitating effective project information flow.
  • Support the writing of business cases and coordinate approvals aligned with strategic goals.

  • Conduct evaluations and support the writing of Tender Reports with recommendations.
