Job summary

McLaren Automotive is offering a 12-month Procurement Intern position at the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking, Surrey. You will gain hands-on experience in sourcing, supplier management and cost optimisation, supporting the global, high-precision supply base while working with cross-functional teams.

You must be studying a relevant UK degree (Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or Economics). The role is on-site five days per week, with opportunities to develop core commercial skills and

Qualifications

• Must be studying a relevant UK degree in a related subject.
• Strong analytical and organisational skills.
• Interest in commercial operations, procurement and automotive industry.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assist in sourcing components and materials across vehicle programmes.
• Support evaluation of supplier proposals and RFQ responses.
• Analyse supplier performance metrics (cost, delivery, quality).
• Coordinate with Engineering, Finance and Quality to align procurement with build milestones.
• Prepare supplier communications, purchase orders and tracking documentation.
• Support cost-reduction initiatives through benchmarking and analysis.
• Exposure to contract management, logistics planning and supplier audits.
