Job summary

Centrica invites you to join its UK graduate and intern programmes as a Procurement Intern, a 12‑month placement focused on strategic sourcing, supplier management, and commercial risk.

From day one you’ll work with mentors, tackle real business challenges, and develop practical, future‑ready procurement skills. The role includes travel and relocation where required and a hybrid working pattern.

Qualifications

• Expecting a minimum 2:1 degree (2:2 if combined with a Masters).
• Have the right to work in the UK, prior to commencing work.
• Curious, proactive and keen to learn.
• Willingness to travel and relocate where required.
• Available to start in June 2027.

As a Procurement Intern, you’ll spend a year gaining hands‑on experience and working on meaningful projects that contribute to real business outcomes.

During your Year in Industry, you’ll gain hands‑on experience in an area such as strategic sourcing, supplier and contract management, supply chain, sustainability or commercial risk.

You’ll contribute to real business priorities, work with colleagues and suppliers, and develop practical skills in commercial thinking, stakeholder engagement and problem‑solving.

Along the way, you’ll build your understanding of how Procurement balances value, quality, sustainability, resilience and risk, while discovering where a future career in Procurement could take you.
