Role Overview

The Procurement Engineer will ensure that all project-specific parts, assemblies, and documents are available for production as scheduled, ensuring timely, budget-conscious, and high-quality manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

1. Create detailed drawings of custom parts suitable for manufacture.
2. Source supplier quotes for custom-made parts within project timelines and budgets.
3. Procure custom and project-specific parts within set timescales and budgets.
4. Create BOMs for special products.
5. Develop assembly drawings and work instructions for manufacturing.
6. Prepare custom manuals and technical documents as needed.
7. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure availability of parts and communicate shortages or delays promptly.
8. Collaborate with the Workshop Supervisor to plan and execute production, ensuring sales orders are fulfilled on time and meet quality standards.
9. Maintain drawings for continuous improvement of standard products.
10. Occasionally assist in assembly to review and improve design and manufacturing processes.

Skills & Attributes

• Proficiency in SolidWorks and 3D modeling.
• Ability to produce accurate, detailed drawings on time.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills within deadlines.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Knowledge of machinery standards, directives, and CE marking.
• Effective communication skills with workshop teams.
• Team player with a willingness to learn.
