Turn data and technology into advantage – combine and analyse data to develop hypotheses, identify financial opportunities and provide clear, actionable digital insights that support better, faster decisions. Understand and connect the business – build a strong understanding of programmes, operations, procurement and supporting functions, joining up priorities, projects, risks and commercial opportunities across Aerospace and the wider Rolls-Royce organisation. Champion tools and processes – become an expert in the tools and processes that support negotiation and cost initiatives, champion their consistent adoption, streamline how they are used and drive continuous improvement, so teams realise their full value. Lead through influence – build trust across functions and seniority levels, communicate a compelling vision and bring together stakeholders with different priorities to deliver solutions that work for the wider business. Stay close to the work and keep learning – understand the reality of Category Teams’ pressures, learn from the wider organisation and external negotiation landscape, and use that insight to shape future improvements.
