Job summary

Pioneer Selection Ltd is helping to appoint a Procurement & Cost Optimisation Manager for a brand-new, greenfield function in Fife. The 12-month contract will shape how the business manages direct and indirect spend and embed robust procurement processes.

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will identify savings, improve supplier performance and establish best practices across the organisation, with a view to a longer-term procurement strategy.

Qualifications

• Proven procurement experience with cost-saving delivery.
• Experience in FMCG, manufacturing or food sectors.
• Strong negotiation and supplier-management skills.
• Excellent analytical and Excel capabilities.
• CIPS qualification or working towards it preferred.

Responsibilities

• Undertake spend review across direct and indirect categories.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimise supplier terms.
• Lead negotiations with key suppliers and renegotiations.
• Develop procurement processes and controls across the business.
• Report savings and influence purchasing decisions.
• Support longer-term procurement strategy.
