This is a hybrid role with multiple office locations available: Yorkshire, Glasgow, Buckinghamshire.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sole Contributor
  • Supporting Engagement Leads with internal and external engagements
  • Driving cost and procurement strategy
  • Presenting strategic ideas to the Senior Leadership Team, considering industry changes and market best practices
  • Owning outward-facing interactions with CIPS, ACCA, and Procurement Leaders
  • Managing Procurement brand, communications, town hall events, and supplier events
  • People management (50%)—owning L&D for a procurement team of 100+
  • Fostering a collaborative and engaging team environment
Role Scope and Objectives:

The role requires collaboration across Cost and Procurement functions and the organization's supply chain, alongside the Service Management community of practice teams. Responsibilities include delivering functional enablement, training, communication, and people strategy requirements. You will report directly to the Cost & Procurement Insight and Enablement Lead.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Gathering insights from stakeholder surveys, supplier feedback, market insights, and external benchmarks to enhance Cost and Procurement excellence
  • Developing a people capabilities plan aligned with current and future talent strategies
  • Implementing measurable improvements in People capabilities to achieve top-quartile results
  • Translating business and functional goals into clear team objectives
  • Embedding and promoting our operating model and frameworks, increasing brand awareness
  • Developing and implementing a Cost and Procurement people development model aligned with best practices and continuous improvement
