Job summary

Greys Specialist Recruitment Ltd are recruiting a Supply Chain & Procurement Co-Ordinator to join the purchasing team at Carrington, Trafford, near Manchester. The role covers buying, supplier management and day-to-day supply chain coordination to ensure materials are available and deliveries arrive on time.

Working closely with the Purchasing Manager, you will build strong supplier relationships, monitor stock levels and support demand planning, with a focus on continuous improvement and cost

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing, supplier coordination or supply chain operations.
• Proficiency in procurement processes, stock control and delivery coordination.
• Experience with ERP/MRP or purchasing systems and Excel for data handling.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate purchasing of raw materials, consumables and services to meet operations.
• Obtain supplier quotations, review pricing and lead times, support negotiations for best terms.
• Build and maintain supplier relationships, monitor service levels and resolve delivery issues.
• Monitor stock levels and ensure availability to support production schedules.
• Coordinate deliveries with suppliers, logistics, warehouse and production teams.
• Support demand planning and forecasting to align purchasing with business needs.
• Maintain purchasing records and supplier data in internal systems; prepare reports.
• Support supplier approvals and ISO compliance documentation.
• Contribute to cost-saving, waste reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with ERP/MRP system improvements and ensure processes remain accurate.
