Overview

As part of our Group Transport team, the Procurement Co-ordinator is responsible for supporting procurement activities such as supplier onboarding, assurance, and management of our Haulage Supply base. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will play a crucial role in delivering the procurement strategy within this category by working with key stakeholders and suppliers to deliver value initiatives.

How will you contribute?

  1. Work closely with internal operational teams to support supplier engagement.
  2. Participate actively in the Supplier Relationship Management programme and act as a key contact for new and existing suppliers.
  3. Support pre-identified procurement projects and value initiatives.
  4. Assist with contract administration and compliance reporting.
  5. Coordinate the maintenance of an Approved Supplier List, including administration of compliance documents and onboarding of new suppliers.
  6. Perform analysis and reporting related to procurement objectives and market trends.
  7. Manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure compliance, performance, and risk mitigation.
  8. Collaborate with the wider Procurement Team as needed.
  9. Handle procurement queries and liaise with suppliers, providing feedback to relevant departments to enhance efficiency.
  10. Contribute to the development and improvement of supplier management policies, standards, and procedures.

What will you bring?

  1. Experience working within a procurement function or transport office is desirable; experience dealing with suppliers is a plus.
  2. A proactive self-starter with the ability to learn quickly.
  3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  4. Proficiency in data entry, with strong analytical skills and experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  5. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
