Contract: Full-time, permanent

FR Scott is one of Hull's leading independent suppliers of fixings, fasteners, architectural ironmongery, tools and industrial consumables. Established in 1945, we support customers across construction, engineering, manufacturing and modular building from our Hull trade counter, warehouse and national ecommerce operation.
We are looking for an organised, practical person to help keep purchasing and supply running reliably, while supporting the Head of Procurement in developing the wider function.
Day-to-day purchasing, stock availability and supplier coordination are central to this role. Alongside these responsibilities, you will support sourcing, commercial analysis, product and category development, and projects to improve how we buy and manage supply across the business.
FR Scott is a small business. Responsibilities overlap, and we need someone who takes ownership, works closely with colleagues and is willing to provide support and cover where needed. Procurement includes both the products we buy to sell and the goods and services we buy to run the business.
You may already work in purchasing, buying or supply chain, or have relevant experience in product administration, ecommerce, sales coordination, order management or merchandising. Industry experience would be useful, but it is not essential.
Working directly with the Head of Procurement, you will gain experience across buying, supplier management, stock and category development, with opportunities to take ownership of suppliers, product groups and projects as your skills grow.
This could support progression into Buyer, Category Manager or wider procurement and supply chain roles, depending on your strengths and business opportunities. Support towards a relevant CIPS qualification may be available following successful completion of probation.
