JOB DESCRIPTION
As part of our Group Transport team, the Procurement Co-ordinator is responsible for supporting procurement activities such as supplier onboarding, assurance, and management of our Haulage Supply base. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will play a crucial role in delivering the procurement strategy within this category by working with key stakeholders and suppliers to deliver value initiatives.
How will you contribute?
- Work closely with internal operational teams to support supplier engagement.
- Participate actively in the Supplier Relationship Management programme and serve as a key contact for new and existing suppliers.
- Support pre-identified procurement projects and value initiatives.
- Administer contracts and ensure compliance reporting.
- Coordinate the maintenance of an Approved Supplier List, including managing compliance documents and onboarding new suppliers.
- Conduct analysis and reporting on procurement objectives and market trends.
- Manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure process compliance, performance, and risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with the wider Procurement Team as needed.
- Handle procurement-related queries, liaise with suppliers, and relay feedback to relevant departments to improve efficiency.
- Assist in developing, maintaining, and improving supplier management policies, standards, and procedures.
What will you bring?
- Experience in a procurement function or transport office is desirable; experience dealing with suppliers is also desirable.
- A proactive self-starter with the ability to learn quickly.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in data entry, with strong analytical skills, and experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
